• Please submit low-resolution AND high-resolution files in two separate folders:
  
  High-resolution:
  • Format: Quicktime (.mov)
  • DNxHD Codec or Animation Codec
  • Resolution: 1920 x 1080 (Full HD) or 1280 x720 (HD)
  • Frame rate*: 29.97p (progressive) for North America and 25p (progressive) for all other countries
  • Aspect ratio: 16:9
  • * For existing video material please don’t change the original frame rate.
  Low-resolution:
  • Format: Quicktime (.mov)
  • Foto-JPG Codec or H.264 Codec
  • Resolution: at least 480x360
• Other formats than HD, for instance SD, ONLY after consultation with StockFood.
• All files with serial numbers or captions.
• Short file names of max. 12 characters with .mov ending and no special characters such as space or ä, ö, è, é, l, n, & /. (),°,#, etc.
• Save the clips in separate subfolders, if:
  • different cameras
  • different frame rates
  • different resolutions
• No cuts within a clip
• No cross fading effects
• No special effects
• No logos and trademarks
• Always use a tripod
• Include model + property releases, if requested
• Include a caption list (essential for the keywording), along with our StockFood submission form.
• Clearly mark any restrictions

All films showing recognisable or associable people, regardless of whether they are professional models or not, must be accompanied by a "Model Release". A model release is a written declaration of consent by the person featured in the film to assign all rights of use in the film (including reproduction and circulation with no time limit) to the photographer. We cannot market pictures of people with no model release, as among other things, they are barred from any promotional use.

Even though a model release is not always absolutely necessary for films showing people out of focus, pictures of hands etc., they will have a much greater chance of being sold if they too are accompanied by a model release.

Similarly, films showing someone else's property (vineyards, wineries, private houses, businesses, cafés, restaurants etc.) require a "Property Release" statement. We also require a property release for films of your own house.

All films must be either accompanied by a release (if appropriate), or marked "No release".
